MISSION STATEMENT: MAKING DISCIPLES OF CHRIST
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20
Bethany Youth Ministry strives to be a community where youths find their identity as beloved discipleswho are called to go and make disciples of Christ wherever we go. With a definition of disciple as one who know God, love God, and share God, our goal is to help youth know God more, love God deeper, and share God everywhere.
- Knowing God – We are to know God as we begin personal relationship with Him. We are to listen to God through scripture and speak to God through prayer
- Loving God – We are to love God by first loving ourselves as we embrace our beauty and brokenness and second, by loving our neighbors as we embrace their beauty and brokenness.
- Serving God – We are to serve God locally by serving people in our neighborhood and globally by actively engaging with the people in different countries who don’t know God.
Our youth ministry serves 6th to 12th and meets twice a week: Sunday Worship Service from 10:30AM – 12:15PM and Friday Night Youth Meeting from 7:30PM – 9:00PM. Sunday services begin with family worship and continue in the youth room with a youth focused sermon. And Life Together Group (life-sharing and weekly sermon-discussing group) follows after worship is ended.
Friday Night Meeting begin with praise and prayer followed by bible studies and other activities. Through different activities, outings, events, and studies, we hope to become Jesus’ beloved disciples who make disciples of Christ wherever we go.
