First Time

Welcome Letter

Blessings to you! I am so glad you are visiting our website. I hope you will find everything you are looking for and more, and if you have any questions, whatever they may be, you can contact me at jobae456@gmail.com. My name is Rev. Jin Bae, and I am the lead pastor here at Bethany.

First of all, let me introduce our church. Just before World War II, a handful of local Christians started the Bethany Presbyterian Church. That was March of 1942. By 1947, we were able to build our present church building and move in. And so for generations, Bethany has been the spiritual home for countless families and friends. We’ve had our share of births, baptisms, and marriages.

In 2004, by God’s grace, an Asian congregation from a nearby church joined us to become who we are today: a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural body of Christ. It is our conviction that God formed us this way so that we can be a place for all people of all backgrounds and ethnicity. Whoever you are and whatever your life circumstance, you will find people who will greet you and love you with the loving embrace of Jesus Christ.

And it’s true. Every visitor that’s visited us have said the same thing: “I felted welcomed and loved.” And if you plan on visiting us, I hope you will make plans to stay for lunch on us. We make some amazing food! Check out our church lunch crew at Instagram!

Our worship time is 10:30am Sundays.

What to Expect

Our worship style is a blending of both the contemporary and the traditional – we do some liturgy and sing hymns, we have a wonderful and talented choir, and we have an excellent praise team that leads us in contemporary praise. Our pastor is a teacher at heart and so you will receive a solid biblical teaching and challenge, and we have no dress code – you can come as you are.

We always begin together as families, and our children and youths join us for the beginning worship of praise and prayer. During the Passing of the Peace, they will go on to their separate worships and then join the parents after Sunday School.

Where Do My Kids Go?

NURSERY – Back of Sanctuary

We welcome parents to bring their babies and toddlers into worship because Jesus lovesour little ones. However we understand that some parents want to worship in the nursery. And so located right next to the sanctuary, the nursery is designed to help parents care for their babies and toddlers while enjoying worship viewed through the TV monitor.

CHILDREN’s MINISTRY (K-5TH GRADE) – Bottom Floor

Our children worship  with the parents until the Passing of the Peace. At that time, our children are led down to their worship area to continue worship & gather into Sunday School classes. They will join their parents later for lunch.

YOUTH MINISTRY – Second Floor

Our youths also depart during the Passing of the Peace to go upstairs where they continue their worship. After worship, the youth students are separated into two groups (Jr. High-school and Sr. High-school) for Bible Study before they join the rest of the church for lunch.
